Contest Theme: Section 66
The theme of this contest is Section 66 and the members within it. All pictures have to feature at least one of these individuals, although the choice of which is completely up to the artist. The activity, pose, and situation that the artist depicts the character(s) in is completely up to them. (Rules can be found lower in this journal as to what grading specifications the entries will be judged by.)
What you'll see below is information regarding Section 66 and the Bloodline members, both in written form and in picture references. Each character picture has personality and history information in the artist's comments that you can use to better understand the subject. Please be sure to read everything that you can in order to have the best grip on the character that you choose.

SUBJECT: Suspicious Intelligence Reports and 'Section 66'
Despite a stern warning from Richard, who finds my current line of inquiry to be a loose gear in the diplomatic machinery of this office, I have chosen to continue the pursuit of my outstanding investigation in the hopes that I can support my previous assertions with more damning evidence. Due to the fact that my last report contained little more than conjecture, educated guess-work, and intuition honed as a member of the agency, I can understand your reluctance to continue conversing on the subject. However, I believe that the current state of the enclosed report, combined with the attached dossiers and documents, will be more than satisfactory in convincing you of this situation's dire urgency.
The national rate of missi
Primer: Section 66
Section 66 is a group hidden in the whispers of power-players and political giants. They are both the nightmare of conspiracy theorists and the vindication of their beliefs--that mysterious sects act behind the scenes and pull the strings of figureheads. But none of these individuals know the full extent of what the group stands for, what they can do, and, most importantly, what goals they pursue.
Even the most vivid imagination would never guess how close they fly to the sun. This group, and each member in it, is completely devoted to obliterating the Hollow races and cleansing Soul Society of its ruling class of Shinigami. They want nothing more than to put humankind in complete control of the forces of life and death, even if it means the complete annihilation and reformation of the current institutions that protect it.
The bulk force of Section 66, recruited from elite military and government operations across the world, is composed entirely of those rare individuals who have innat
Contest Dates/Timetable: July 1st to July 31st - Midnight to Midnight (EST)
The contest has officially started and will end on the stroke of midnight (EST) on July 31st (into August 1st) . Placements will be announced and prizes will be delivered before August 10th, during which time myself and the other four judges will sort out the scores and votes and select the winners. During this time, no more submissions will be accepted. Please remember to stick to the timetable provided. No late entries will be permitted, although I retain the right to extend the deadline if too many people are having issues with the length. If that happens, I will inform all participants and update the journal.
All entries must be submitted to the Contest folder of #Nexus-Nation

Display and Ownership
All entries must contain a statement that says that the work is for the 'Section 66' contest. I'd prefer that the image be watermarked in order to prevent people from hijacking your hard work and misusing my characters, but I don't require it. If you do decide to use a watermark, whether it's the natural DeviantArt stamp or another of your design, I require that you send me a copy of the unmarked original in order to accept the entry. This copy can be given to me either through e-mail, which I'll only give through a note, or through a private link to Photobucket or another image hosting service.
Once an artist completes an entry and submits it to this contest, they relinquish ownership of the image to me as if it were a normal commission. I'll obviously allow the original artist to use the image on their DeviantArt, portfolio, or personal website since they're the one that created it. If I decide to upload a copy of the image to my personal account, all information regarding the creator of the artwork will be displayed in the comments section of the deviation and in no way will I claim to be the artist behind the work. All praise be to the artists, so I always make sure to tell people who did what and, if they accept commissions, where to find their page. I love commissions and those who make them, so I credit artists wherever they deserve it. However, I retain the right to use the artwork submitted to this contest.
No Canon Characters/Outside OCs
Unlike some other Bleach fans, I do not place my characters anywhere in the canon world. This means that under no circumstances will I allow direct references to Ichigo, Rukia, Ukitake, or any of the characters from the Manga/Show to be entered in this contest. All entries must only contain the original characters found on my page. On that same note, the original characters of other people cannot be used in the contest, either. Under no circumstances do I want to see a pairing of a Section 66 member and someone else's OC, specifically because that isn't the theme of the contest.
You may certainly put more than one character in the picture, but that will not increase your chance of winning if the quality decreases because of it. More does not necessarily equal better. And it must be obvious that a member of Section 66, which is the point of this contest, is the center of attention in the piece.
No Multiple Entries
No artist may submit more than one entry into the contest. This is to make sure that the piece submitted is the highest quality it can be, and that the judges aren't overwhelmed at the end of the contest. If you want to withdraw a previous submission and replace it with another, please contact me through note.
__________Official Contest Criteria__________
Five judges, me included, will rate each entry on a scale from 1-20, with 20 being the highest possible score. This rating will take into account everything from quality of art to composition to the faithfulness towards the original character design. Creativity and ingenuity will also play a role. Once these numbers have been collected for a particular piece, the five different scores (one from each judge) will be combined into an overall rating out of 100. The contest prizes will be given out according to the final standings of these ratings.
In the event of a tie on any level of the competition, the five judges will vote towards which piece better fits the contest theme and shows the highest quality of work.
